Summary: The Authors report their experience with 546 cases of complementary appendectomy performed at the First Obstetric and Gynecologic Institute-University of Milano- from 1979 to 1983. This kind of operation should not be “a priori” excluded because pathological lesions were evident in 44.14% of cases.
